Let's get to know each other a little better

A website showing events and news is nice. So what about thoughts and instructions from Merv about common varieties of plants, techniques, unique interpretations all in his own favor of communication...wouldn't that be a lot better? Merv and I have spent a significant amount of time figuring out the best way to teach Bonsai to a large audience of people. We're done thinking. And we're going to get personal.

Let Merv know you want to hear from him. Leave a comment below!

More soon.

Hello Mr. Merv. I was at your demonstration today with my cousin and my mother. I am also a fellow bonsai enthusiast and was wondering if sometime you could look at my trees and tell me what you think? I enjoyed watching your demonstration. thanks!

@Garrett & @Veerrrrgil: Hi, I'm Mike and I help Merv run the site. We'll be putting some instruction and information online here as well. Make sure you check back later and I'll get a mailing list on here so you can keep in touch with Merv and what he's doing in the future.

Thanks for stopping by!

I bought a Bonsai from you at the Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon GA & love the look! However in the past few weeks it is dropping leaves & I thought I saw a small bug fly out of the foliage when I moved it. How often should I water? Do the leaves dropping mean it's dying? Help!

Hello there, Gaye! It's important to know which plant you purchased so we can give you the appropriate instructions. Would you mind emailing us at merv@bonsaitree.com and we can help you save your plant? If you could include a picture of your tree in its current environment, that would be very helpful.

Hey Merv! It's Paul McLagan! That weird little blonde dude (Not so little any more I'm afraid) that used to come to your bonsai classes. I am now in Minnesota going to college studying of all things Norwegian Language and History/Culture. I still have a few of my trees (like that one elm that I got from you for $45) and am maintaining my bonsai but not involved in starting as many as I used to since I live in a small apartment and we sold our place in FL. I looked into the society here and it is in a sorry state and the people who frequent the meetings are not at all nice(where is their "Minnesota Nice"?) making me miss the great meetings and lessons I had with you and the other people that frequented the Flamingo Gardens meetings. Anyways I am going to get a chance to go back to China this summer since my dad's new position has landed him in Shanghai and the company will fly me there to go see my ol' pappy. Hopefully I will get to see a wonderful array of tree specimens that they have trained there, I hear they have a great Penjing display at the Shanghai Botanical Gardens.

I hope all is well with you and that you are still going at it reducing plants to "Charlie Brown Christmas Trees" ;). Keep it real and if you want to respond to me I can be emailed at paul.mclagan@gmail.com
